  • What special saving is enabled transferring foreign currency to an Israeli bank, where Currenge holds an account, and you don’t?

As there is an about 0.2% fee, both for transferring and receiving foreign currency, with minimum and maximum amounts, transferred between two Israeli separate banks, such a transfer may cost you about 0.4% of transferred monies.

However, such a transfer, only if done by the same legal entity, has a controlled regulated price of $10, plus a correspondent bank fee of about €25. Thus, on some certain scenarios, transferring foreign currency between separate Israeli banks with Currenge, may enable you of addiotnal savings of close to 0.4% of transferred amount.

As of May 2024, Currenge holds bank account, with HaPoalim, Leumi, Discount, First International bank of Israel, and Mizrachi-Tefahot banks. The fee for transferring foreign currency between two bank accounts belonging to different parties, within a same banking group, as Bank HaPoalim, Leumi, and First International, is relatively very small.
