What are the currency exchange hours in Currenge?
For a client who successfully completed the “Know Your Customer” (KYC) form a few days earlier, currency exchange is available at Currenge in Israel from Monday to Thursday (excluding holidays in Israel or in the country issuing the foreign currency), between 09:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
With prior arrangement made at least one day in advance, currency exchange is also available on Friday mornings until 10:30 AM, if transacted from an account with one of the following banks: HaPoalim, Leumi, or First International.
The return of settlement funds depends on the time the funds were transferred to the trading room for conversion. If the transfer is made before 12:30 PM, the converted funds are expected to be returned on the same day. Transfers made after this time will be processed on the next business day in which trading is available for the relevant currency pair. In this regard, it is recommended to initiate a transaction by transferring funds to Currenge in the early morning hours.
When transferring funds to an account in another country, the proceeds from a transaction that was initiated in the morning and is in EUR or USD may be received on the same calendar business day or on the following days.
